December is a time of the year when large quantities of food get wasted. To try and prevent this, we’ve put together a calendar of seasonal suggestions to help you reduce your food waste.
Week 1 – Start a food waste diary and set yourself a target to reduce your food waste over the festive period.
Week 3 – Start your festive food prep. Be sure to know the best way to store your food and make the most of your freezer by .

Remember, you have to have signed the Essex Food Waste Pledge in order to be eligible for each of our monthly competitions. You only have to sign the pledge once in 2023 to be eligible for every competition.
