Your visit to Essex County Council recycling centres: what to expect.

Essex County Council (ECC) recycling centres are licenced by the Environment Agency and are for household waste only. Before visiting a recycling centre, ensure you are familiar with our policy and site restrictions.

It may be possible for you to arrange a special or bulky waste collection for large items or electrical items from your household.

Every year an estimated 155,000 tonnes of electrical items are thrown away in the UK, instead of reusing or recycling them. These are products that either have a plug or need batteries to work.
